Bangkok PM2.5: Chatuchak highest as pollution levels raise health concerns

BANGKOK: Bangkok’s Air Quality Information Centre reported PM2.5 (fine particulate matter of 2.5 microns or less) in the capital at 7am on Monday (Jan 19).

The Bangkok-wide average was 33.7 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m³), against the standard of 37.5 µg/m³.

Chatuchak – 49.0 µg/m³

Pathum Wan – 45.3 µg/m³

Lat Krabang – 44.4 µg/m³

Bang Rak – 41.6 µg/m³

Lak Si – 40.5 µg/m³

Sathon – 40.2 µg/m³

Ratchathewi – 39.6 µg/m³

Khlong Sam Wa – 39.1 µg/m³

Phra Nakhon – 38.9 µg/m³

Bang Sue – 38.5 µg/m³

Prawet – 38.4 µg/m³

Sai Mai – 37.9 µg/m³

Overall: levels beginning to affect health

Health advice
