A growing income: Myanmar exports over 320,000 tons of fishery products in nine months

YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar exported over 320,000 tons of fishery products from April to December of the 2025-26 fiscal year, earning over US$484 million, according to the Department of Fisheries on Monday.

The export volume declined compared with the same period last fiscal year, when about 400,000 tons of fishery products were shipped abroad, Thin Thin Hlaing, staff officer of the Research and Development Division under the department, told Xinhua.

Myanmar mainly exports fishery products to China and Thailand, while other destinations include Asean member countries, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Japan, she said. - Xinhua
