PosBru marks new phase in Brunei with soft launch

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: PosBru Sdn Bhd marked a new phase in the corporatisation of postal services in Brunei Darussalam with a soft launch ceremony at the Mail Processing Centre (MPC) in Berakas on Friday (Jan 2).

The event was officiated by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Yang Mulia Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Zety Sufina Pengiran Datuk Paduka Sani, who attended in her capacity as Chairperson of PosBru Sdn Bhd.

Also present was Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) Yang Mulia Awang Hairul Mohd Daud Abdul Karim, who currently serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer of PosBru.

Senior officers from the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, the Public Service Department, the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam, Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd, as well as PosBru’s management team, were also in attendance.

In her keynote address, the Deputy Minister highlighted PosBru’s focus on improving service efficiency and strengthening innovation within the postal sector to meet the evolving needs of the public and business community.

The ceremony included the unveiling of the PosBru signboard, symbolising the company’s new corporate identity and strategic direction.

Guests were later taken on a guided tour of the facility, where ongoing and planned operational enhancements aimed at improving mail processing efficiency and customer service were outlined.
