First it was 'Suka Kamu', then came 'Apa Saja', and now it's time for 'Move On'. Rising local singer Malik Choo has completed his love song trilogy splendidly.
And he also presents a different side to his musical talents with his latest single titled 'Move On'.
According to Malik Choo, 'Move On' showcases his bolder character through a different musical arrangement and use of drums compared to his previous works. And it is also a continuation of his music showcase as he completes his love trials with three songs within nine months.
On Tuesday, in a media showcase event, Malik Choo showed his potential with his new single, which has already won praises from music fans.
“The overall sound of the song and the use of drums make this song different,” he said at the press conference in KL.
Malik Choo also announced that 'Move On' is his first song to feature full choreography and also completes the love journey of a young man in search of undying love.
“(Actually) I have been wanting full choreography for a long time, since the singles 'Suka Kamu' and 'Apa Saja'. I am grateful that it was realised through 'Move On'. It is also a song that serves as a continuation of this young man's journey of love," said Malik Choo.
The single 'Move On' was produced by SVLTAN Management in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia, combining elements of rap, pop and a touch of modern R&B.
For the record, “Move On” is Malik Choo’s third solo single, capturing the journey of letting go, finding strength, and choosing to heal. The music video marks a fresh direction for Malik, featuring polished choreography and a refined K-pop-inspired performance style.
“Move On” is the result of a collaborative effort from award-winning names in the industry, Altimet (Lyricist), Mas Dewangga (Producer, Composer & Arranger), Jova Devito (Producer & Composer), and Kidd Santhe (Composer, Mixing & Mastering).
The combination showcases Malik's creative evolution as a versatile artist who is increasingly gaining attention in Malaysian contemporary music.
For the record, Malik’s journey began in 2009 under the name DJ Kino, where he learned the fundamentals of understanding audiences, reading the energy of a crowd, and controlling the atmosphere of a performance. Those foundations later formed the core DNA of his artistic identity that we see today.
From his early days behind the decks, Malik ventured steadily into performing, collaborating and eventually releasing his own singles.
His artistic path also includes several notable collaborations over the years, including “Kita Jaga Kita” with Altimet, a major hit that amassed over 10 million views on YouTube, “Lelaki Di Telefon” with Afieq Shazwan, which garnered 12 million views, and “Ralit” with Tuju, a track that gained strong traction and expanded his reach to a wider audience.
“It has been a long journey, taken one step at a time, filled with effort, sacrifice, and lessons I’m grateful for,” shared Malik, who is fluent in Cantonese, Malay and English.
“Move On” is also part of the DKK Industri Muzik (Dana Kebolehpasaran Domestik 2.0) initiative, supported by MyCreative Ventures and the Ministry of Communications (KK).
“We at SVLTAN Management would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Communications through MyCreative Ventures for the continuous support of the Government to the building of the creative industry through the Dana Kandungan Digital,” said Yasmeen Zainal, Chief Executive Officer of SVLTAN Management.
The single 'Move On' is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music, while the official music video for 'Move On' can be watched exclusively on the VEVO YouTube channel @MalikCHoo starting December 10, 2025.
