South-East Asia cultural economic-exchange connects Vietnam and Malaysia


HANOI/KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama-VNA): A South-East Asia cultural-economic exchange programme was held here, Sunday, serving as a platform to link policymakers, artists and cultural-economic organisations across the region, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

The gathering showcased performances rich in the cultural identities of Vietnam and Malaysia, including the OneMalaysia dance is inspired by Malaysia’s multi-ethnic communities, Vietnamese "chau van”, a unique folk and spiritual art form, and Tarian Dikir, a Malaysian traditional dance. 

Members of the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association’s (MVFA) Youth Club also presented a performance about love, personal choices and sincerity in life, mirroring modern Vietnamese culture amid global integration.

Asean Secretariat officer from Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry, Mohd Firdaus Mohamed Ramli, stressed the role of cultural diplomacy in fostering bilateral ties.

Meanwhile, MVFA President Tran Thi Chang described the event as a space for cultural dialogue, contributing to greater mutual understanding, respect, and trust among nations, promoting sustainable collaboration and spreading shared values within the Asean community. -- BERNAMA-VNA
