Another shocking stabbing incident in Japan; two people injured an incident in Fukuoka

TOKYO (Xinhua): Two people were injured in a stabbing incident on Sunday in Fukuoka City in Japan's western prefecture of Fukuoka, local media reported.

An emergency call was made at around 5 p.m. local time that two people were stabbed with what appeared to be a knife by a man at a shopping center in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, public broadcaster NHK reported.

Police arrived at the scene, finding two people, a man and a woman, injured, and they were taken to the hospital in a conscious state, the report said.

Police are investigating the whereabouts of the man who fled the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. - Xinhua
