VIENTIANE: The multiethnic Lao people came together on December 2 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) with a grand parade, honouring a hard-won revolutionary victory, reviewing five decades of nation-building and outlining the country’s long-term development vision.

Secretary General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and State President Thongloun Sisoulith addressed the commemorative gathering at the That Luang esplanade.
