Quake hits Dhaka, 10 killed

A powerful earthquake has struck outside the nation’s crowded capital Dhaka, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 300, authorities said.

The 5.5-magnitude quake struck at 10.38am local time on Friday near the city of Narsingdi, about 33km from Dhaka, accor­ding to the US Geological Survey.
