Indonesia extends Banjarnegara landslide search as toll hits 12

JAKARTA: (Bernama) Indonesia has extended search and rescue operations at a landslide in Banjarnegara, Central Java, after two more bodies were recovered, bringing the death toll to 12, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said on Sunday (June 23).

The agency’s spokesperson Abdul Muhari said BNPB and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) had extended the search for a further three days as 16 people remained missing a week after the Nov 15 disaster.
