BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School (SMPIHM), Serasa, hosted a School Twinning Programme from November 17-20, welcoming a delegation from Boon Lay Secondary School in Singapore for a series of collaborative learning activities and cultural exposure tours across Brunei.
The delegation comprised 11 secondary school students, two teachers and the school’s principal Chan Zheng Ming.
During the four-day programme, students from both schools participated in collaborative learning sessions and school-based showcases facilitated by SMPIHM staff and students.
The programme also included visits to Bruneian landmarks such as Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque and the Brunei Arts and Handicraft Centre, offering the visiting students insight into Brunei’s heritage and craftsmanship traditions.
Representatives from both schools said the twinning programme continues to strengthen ties between Brunei and Singapore’s education communities, providing students with meaningful opportunities to build connections beyond the classroom.
The programme concluded on November 20, with both schools expressing their intention to expand joint activities under future editions of the School Twinning Programme. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
