BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on Wednesday (Nov 19) visited Kincsem Park in Budapest, Hungary accompanied by his son Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

The monarch was greeted upon arrival by President of Hungary Dr Tamas Sulyok, Hungary’s Minister of Defence Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Kincsem Park chief esecutive officer Adam Szotyori Nagy.

As Hungary’s national horse racing centre and one of its oldest equestrian institutions, Kincsem Park is renowned for its rich equestrian traditions and for its role in preserving the country’s horse-sport heritage.

The Sultan later witnessed an equestrian demonstration that highlighted Hungary’s distinctive horsemanship and cultural traditions and was briefed about Kincsem Park’s contributions to the development of the national equestrian sector.

The visit to Kincsem Park reflects one of the opportunities for both countries to expand bilateral relations, particularly in the aspects of culture, sports and exchange of expertise.
