Cambodia's exports to EU, Asean see double-digit growth in first 10 months of 2025


PHNOM PENH: Cambodia enjoyed a double-digit growth of exports to the European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) in the first 10 months of 2025, said a Ministry of Commerce report on Tuesday (Nov 18).

The report showed that the country exported products worth US$4.21 billion to the EU market during the January-October period this year, up 17.3 per cent year on year.

Meanwhile, the kingdom shipped goods worth $4.8 billion to its fellow Asean member states, a year-on-year rise of 16 per cent, according to the report.

The EU market accounted for 16.2 per cent and the Asean market represented 18.5 per cent of the kingdom's total export volume of $25.9 billion in the first 10 months this year, it said.

"Main goods Cambodia exported to EU were apparel, textiles, shoes, travel goods, bags, bicycles, car tires, and some electronic devices, as well as potential agricultural produce such as milled rice, cashew nuts, casava starch, and bananas," Ministry of Commerce's Secretary of State and Spokesperson Penn Sovicheat told Xinhua.

He added that major products Cambodia exported to Asean also included garments, shoes, travel goods, bags, car tires, electronics and agricultural commodities, among others. - Xinhua
