Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM), Hong Kong's top luxury car distributor, is making its foray into Malaysia

Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM), the Hong Kong-based luxury automotive group established in 1983, with business operations expanding throughout the Greater Bay Area, is now in Malaysia, backing the Ford brand.

Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM), Hong Kong's top luxury car distributor and also among the best in Asia, is making its foray into Malaysia by backing Ford in the Petaling Jaya area.

KLM Malaysia's Managing Director, Peter Goh, on Saturday (Nov 15) announced the official management change of Ford Petaling Jaya from Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd to Kam Lung Motor Group Sdn Bhd.

Kam Lung Motor Group (KLM) is a luxury automotive group established and based in Hong Kong, with business developed throughout the “Greater Bay Area" of Guangdong, Macao, and Hong Kong since 1983.

Also considered among the top distributors in Asia, KLM is well known to luxury car specialists and also has exclusive contracts with Volkswagen Group Hong Kong, Bentley, Zeekr, and many other top super brand cars seen in the world.

Officially, it is also a Hong Kong-based luxury automotive group established in 1983, with business operations expanding throughout the Greater Bay Area. It is a major distributor of many luxury and mainstream brands across Hong Kong and mainland China.

On Saturday, KLM, through the new PJ Ford Showroom, had a soft launch of the new Ford Ranger Raptor vehicle, an event attended by the media crew and also the brand's loyal customers.

For the record, the Ford name has always been held in high regard by Malaysians. Whether the passenger cars of the 70s and 80s or the more current Ranger pickups, Escape, and Everest SUVs, Ford has retained a reputation for building high-quality, safe and good-performing vehicles.

“Today is a big show for us, not just for Ford PJ, but for the entire Kam Lung Motor Group (HK) Ltd, as we plant our very first flag here in Malaysia,” said Goh, during the soft launch event.

He also added that the PJ showroom is Kam Lung's first move away from the Greater Bay Area and the company is proud to be associated with Ford and its primary Malaysian licensee distributor, Sime Darby Motors, the automotive arm of Sime Darby Berhad.

“For over 40 years, Kam Lung has been serving the automotive scene across Greater China—including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan—with top-notch service and a passion for cars. With 36 facilities, 14 iconic brands, and over 2,300 hardworking staff, we’ve kept more than 260,000 customers happy and have driven a group turnover of around US$2 billion,” he shared.

An established luxury automotive group, KLM is known for its extensive dealership network with more than thirty 4S centres and a significant annual vehicle sales and after-sales service, through its extensive dealership network. KLM sells 25,000 vehicles annually and provides after-sales service for nearly 260,000 vehicles.

“Our mission here is simple but bold. We want to be the premier automotive destination in the Klang Valley—where customer service is as engaging and spirited as a Ford Ranger,” expressed Goh passionately.

“Ford PJ is our first step in making that happen. We’ve got to give a shout-out to Sime Darby Auto Connexion for their great work with Ford so far. We’re here to build on that foundation—and we’re not just talking. In fact, we will soon begin a full makeover of this facility to create a modern, customer-centric space worthy of the Ford name," added Goh.

"For many customers, Ford makes the best-looking pickup on the road. The Ford Ranger—especially the Raptor—is bold, athletic, and unmistakably Ford. It isn’t just a pick-truck, it’s a statement. It’s the kind of vehicle that says, I mean business … at the same time fun,” Goh said, while unveiling the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0L V6 Ecoboost 4WD 10AT, the most advanced Ford Ranger Raptor yet.

“It's truly a vehicle that embodies power, precision, and personality. This new Ranger Raptor is not just a product launch — it’s a statement of intent,” he proudly exclaimed.

The all-new variant of the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport features:  A high-performance 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo Ecoboost engine, built for both urban and off-road adventures; 17” Beadlock Style Wheels, Raptor Sport Decals, Raptor Sport Hoop.

It will retail for an approved selling price of RM 273,888.00. As with the official launch, KLM is also offering exclusive benefits: Up to RM3,000 rebate + 1 free vehicle service (valid for bookings from 15 - 30/11/2025) and for existing customers,  50% discount on engine oil, oil filter, and labour. On-site bank partners this weekend for immediate loan approval, and also free Ford merchandise.

“This event marks more than just a soft launch—it signals the start of a new chapter, as Kam Lung Motor Group brings its legacy of excellence to Malaysian soil, with a firm commitment to outstanding service, meaningful relationships, and community engagement," said Goh.
