China, together with Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, to step up cooperation in fighting telecom fraud


KUNMING/VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Law enforcement agencies from China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam agreed to intensify joint efforts against transnational telecom and online fraud at a meeting held on Friday in Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Officials from the six countries held in-depth discussions on strengthening cross-border cooperation and reached a series of consensuses, according to a statement from China's Ministry of Public Security.
