Brunei Cub Scouts visit pet kingdom


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Twenty-six Cub Scouts from Troop 1075, Sengkurong Primary School, visited Little Pet Kingdom in Jerudong Park, as part of the badge scheme requirements for earning the ‘Pet Lover’ badge.

Troop leader Nurhamizah Abdul Hamid said the initiative serves as an opportunity for Cub Scouts to apply their learning beyond the classroom. The scouts learnt the importance of caring for pets’ responsibly and interacted with a variety of animals, while discovering the value of kindness and empathy towards living creatures.

The experience enriched their understanding of animal welfare and nurtured teamwork, curiosity and respect for nature.

It fostered a sense of care and compassion for animals and reflects the troop’s commitment to hands-on learning and character development through meaningful, real-life experiences. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
