Indonesia hit by two moderate quakes


KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale was reported to have struck the Minahassa Peninsula in Sulawesi, Indonesia, at 9.31am on Tuesday (Oct 28).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the 10km-deep quake occurred 167km north-west of Gorontalo, Indonesia, with no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
