SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Oct 26 after she allegedly attacked two people with a knife at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre.

The police stated that they received a call for assistance at 756 Upper Serangoon Road at 12.20pm.

The woman, who had allegedly attacked two other women, was subdued by members of the public, said the police.

She was arrested by the police for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon, and will also be referred for psychiatric assessment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 44-year-old woman had acted alone.

The two women, aged 36 and 44, who were allegedly attacked and injured were taken to hospital conscious.
