Lao wind power project boosts livelihoods of local communities

VIENTIANE: The under-construction Truong Son Wind Power Project in Bolikhamxay province will not only generate electricity but is already helping to improve the lives of local people, according to a report in the Pathetlao Daily newspaper.

The wind farm, located in Khamkeuth and Xaychamphon districts, is owned by the Viet Lao Power Joint Stock Company. It has a total generating capacity of 250MW, with the Truong Son Wind Power Project 2 producing an additional 350MW.
