Ringgit seen trading in narrow range this week ahead of Friday''s (Oct 10) Budget 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- The ringgit is expected to trade within the range of RM4.20 to RM4.22 against the US dollar this week as traders tread cautiously amid the US government shutdown and ahead of Malaysia’s Budget 2026.

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the tabling of Budget 2026 on Oct 10 will be closely watched, especially on the total allocation of the budget, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) forecast, and the fiscal deficit target.
