Brunei institute inks MoU with Malaysian varsity to boost academic pathways

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Curtin University Malaysia at the Longhouse Training Restaurant, IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus on Thursday (Sept 25) to strengthen cooperation in establishing academic pathways.

The Curtin delegation was led by Pro Vice-Chancellor, President and Chief Executive of Curtin University Malaysia Professor Dr Vincent Lee Chieng Chen, accompanied by Dr Fidella Tiew, Dr Lee Yih Nin, Dr Lim Chye Ing, Debora Caroline, and Samantha Liew Ee Wen.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by welcoming remarks from Director of Technical Education/Chief Executive Officer of IBTE Dr Mohd Zamri Sabli. This was followed by a speech from Professor Dr Vincent Lee Chieng Chen, highlighting Curtin’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and international collaboration.

The signing hopes to help enrich the academic and professional experiences of IBTE students and staff through the shared commitment of both institutions to excellence in education and industry engagement.
