Man, 40, under police probe over alleged murder of woman in Singapore's Joo Chiat home

SINGAPORE: A 40-year-old man is being investigated for the alleged murder of a 43-year-old woman in a Joo Chiat residential unit on Monday (Sept 15).

The police said they responded to a call for assistance at the unit in Everitt Road at about 9.30pm and found the woman lying motionless at the location.

She was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed the man, who was known to the woman, had left Singapore prior to the call for assistance.

The Straits Times understands the unit is at a residential property called Lotus at Joo Chiat.
