Online scam suspects arrested in Cambodia rise to 3,170


PHNOM PENH: The number of suspects arrested in crackdown operations on online scam centers in Cambodia has increased to 3,170, said a press release from the Ad-Hoc Committee to Combat Online Scams on Thursday (Aug 21).

The authorities have raided 72 locations in 18 cities and provinces out of the kingdom's 25 cities and provinces since June 27 to date, the press release said, adding that the arrested suspects are of 19 nationalities.
