'Aku cinta padamu, Malaysia', says K-drama star Lee Soo-hyuk as he meets delirious fans in Kuala Lumpur


Pavilion KL was rocking on Wednesday. South Korean top actor and model Lee Soo-hyuk got more than 2,000 fans screaming and cheering during a meet-and-greet at the popular mall in the centre of the capital city.

Over 2,000 fans flooded Bukit Bintang just because of Lee Soo-hyuk as the ever-popular and handsome Korean actor and model's presence caused an incredible stir at the exclusive Galaxy Unfolds Roadshow event that took place at the venue on Wednesday (July 16) night.

The fans flooded the Main Concourse to welcome their favorite star, who was making his first appearance in Malaysia. In fact, the line for the meet greet even extended outside the mall and onto the KL city centre roads. In fact, fans were already at the mall as early as 1pm just to catch a glimpse of the K-drama star.

And there were fans from all over the country, with many coming from Ipoh, Penang, Johor Baru, Seremban, and Melaka for the event.

Among the attention-grabbing placards, fans were those holding banners reading “Lee Soo-hyuk’s die-hard fan is here!!!” With banners of various sizes -including a special “WatchLee Soo-hyuk” banner - they formed a mini convoy full of enthusiasm, complete with cheers and screams, just like a celebrity parade usually only seen on TV.

Lee entered the arena around 5pm and the fans went wild with happiness when Lee uttered "Aku cinta padamu (I love you all)" during the meet and greet event.

"This is amazing. I have so many fans here. I'm just humbled by the amount of support here," said a beaming Lee.

"I’m so happy to meet Malaysian fans finally. I’m super nervous right now. Thanks for supporting me," he added. “I hope to visit Malaysia more. Thank you, Samsung, for giving this opportunity.”

For the record, it was the first time the dashing South Korean actor was visiting the capital city to meet with his fans. In fact, hundreds of fans had even gathered at KLIA waiting to catch a glimpse of the famous actor who landed in KL around at 5pm on Tuesday (July 14).

Tonton, Malaysia's top video streaming platform, is bringing Lee to town specifically for the launch of his latest thriller, 'S LINE', which premiered on the site on Wednesday (July 16).

Lee, a popular fashion icon, international model, and versatile actor in Asia, will lead the way for "S LINE", and the series will be available to stream every Friday at 10pm.

"S Line " is a South Korean web series, was officially first released on Wavve on July 11, 2025.

The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by "kkomabi" and was written and directed by Ahn Joo-young. Besides Lee, the series also stars Lee Da-hee, and Arin. The drama was invited to compete at the 8th edition of Canneseries.

Set in the near future, where people's past sexual relationships are visually linked by a glowing red “S Line” visible above their heads. A detective, a mysterious teacher, and a girl born with the ability to see these lines navigate a series of disturbing events triggered by the phenomenon.

As for Lee's visit, his special appearance during the Galaxy Unfolds Roadshow is a collaborative effort between Tonton, TV3, and Samsung Malaysia.
