BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Three women entrepreneurs from the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brunei Darussalam (DPPMB) departed for Nanning, Guangxi, China on Sunday (July 6) to participate in the China-Asean TVET Faculty Training Programme.
Present to see them off at the Brunei International Airport were Awang Abdul Saman Ahmad, Deputy President I of DPPMB, and Miss Sky, a representative from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Organised by the Guangxi Economic and Trade Vocational Institute (GXETVI), the programme will run from 5 to 16 July 2025 and features three international faculty training streams at the GXETVI training centre in Nanning.
Each of the three entrepreneurs — Juwairiyah Sariffudin, Hajah Asdina Aji Mohammad Arif, and Dayang Faridah binti Mohd Taufik — will be attending a specialised programme tailored to their respective industries.
Juwairiyah, who is involved in the fashion and design sector, will join the Yilu Workshop – Smart Apparel & Digital Fashion, which will cover topics such as Industry 4.0 immersion, smart pattern-making systems, AI-driven tailoring, digital twin factory simulations, sustainable fashion design, and industry site visits as well as heritage workshops.
Hajah Asdina, who specialises in digital marketing, e-commerce, and retail, will participate in the E-Commerce Valley – Live-streaming & Cross-border Marketing programme. The training will include livestreaming strategy, TikTok marketing, cross-border trade tools, AI integration for online businesses, and visits to Fortune 500 tech hubs.
Meanwhile, Dayang Faridah — better known as Cigu Mira Putra — who is active in the food and beverage (F&B) sector and culinary education, will be attending the Yi Yin School – Chinese Culinary Arts. Her programme will focus on traditional Chinese dough and pastry arts, standardised culinary training systems, and cultural immersion in Guangxi’s rich culinary heritage. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
