Woodlands Checkpoint extension works to begin in Q3 2025, more private land to be acquired

SINGAPORE: The Woodlands Checkpoint will be redeveloped and extended over the next 10 to 15 years, with the first phase of construction works set to begin in the third quarter of 2025.

In a joint statement on June 4, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority and the Singapore Land Authority said that this will serve as a long-term solution to the chronic congestion at the crossing.
