Police seize over 20mil amphetamine pills in northern Laos


VIENTIANE: Lao police in Tonpheung district in northern Laos' Bokeo province seized more than 20 million amphetamine pills stashed in a ten-wheeler truck that was traveling through the district on Monday (April 21).

A search of the truck revealed 101 bags containing 20,200,000 amphetamine pills, with a combined weight of more than two kilograms, Lao National Radio reported on Tuesday.

Police investigating the case are trying to determine the source of the drugs and identify relevant individuals. - Xinhua
