Myanmar youths raise funds with lion dance for earthquake victims

YANGON: In the heart of Yangon's bustling Chinatown, a group of over 30 young people from the Feng Yi Dragon & Lion Dance Association performed lion dance on the streets to raise money for people affected by the recent earthquake.

Their performances, held from April 3 to 8, attracted many passersby and encouraged donations. The group raised 5 million kyats (US$2,380), which they plan to donate to the Mandalay and Sagaing regions, according to the Feng Yi Dragon & Lion Dance Association.
