Man charged over antisemitic graffiti in Sydney

SYDNEY: A 23-year-old man has been charged by police of Australia's state of New South Wales (NSW) over several antisemitic graffiti offences in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

NSW Police said in a statement on Wednesday evening (March 26) that police received reports on Feb. 2 that multiple vehicles, garages and walls had been damaged with offensive graffiti at Kingsford and Randwick in eastern Sydney.

Officers attached to Strike Force Pearl, a task force set up in December 2024 in response to a surge in antisemitic incidents across NSW, on Wednesday executed a search warrant at a home in Daceyville, a suburb in eastern Sydney, with the assistance of the Public Order and Riot Squad.
