Lao parliament wraps up session with approval of important national documents


VIENTIANE: The second extraordinary session of Laos' National Assembly (NA)'s ninth legislature concluded on Thursday (March 20), following the approval of revised growth targets and key amendments to laws and other important national documents.

The closing ceremony was attended by Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Lao president, along with other senior Party and government officials, and members of the Lao National Assembly.

During the session, the Lao National Assembly urged the government to quickly translate the resolutions, including targets, policies, and measures, into actionable legal frameworks, Lao News Agency reported on Thursday.
