Two missing children found dead in Mandalay, four teenagers under investigation as suspects

MANDALAY: Two missing children were found dead in Mandalay and four teenagers suspected of being the perpetrators are being investigated, according to sources.

On March 2, while Daw San San Kway, a resident of Ward (K) of Pyigyitakun Township, was at home, her ten-year-old son, Pyae Sone Kyaw, left to go play with his cousin, 13-year-old Aung Khant Oo, and did not return home. When they searched for him, they did not find him and they filed a missing person report with the relevant authorities on March 9.

The police investigated the disappearance of the two children and the investigation revealed that 16-year-old Kyaw Min Thu, 17-year-old Aung Htun Win aka Bu Lone, and 17-year-old Zin Myo Thant aka Ju Mone and 17-year-old Bo Bo Zaw had taken the two children.

The four teenagers who are believed to be the perpetrators had gone to the Shwe Saran Pagoda festival, and they and Aung Khant Oo drunk palm juice. Pyae Sone Kyaw ate snacks. While Aung Khant Oo was going to the toilet, Kyaw Min Thu and the four had an idea to teach Aung Khant Oo a lesion as they had had an argument with Aung Khant Oo the previous day, according to the police.

After that, it was discovered that Aung Khant Oo and Pyae Sone Kyaw had been beaten to death with stones at the foot of a rocky hill west of the YGW Orphanage (Singaing) near Mi Thwey Phoke Village, Singaing Township.

The body of Aung Khant Oo was found at the foot of a rocky mountain near the YGW Orphanage between Ye Ywa Thit Village and Phalam Pin Kone Village, Singaing Township, and the body of Pyae Sone Kyaw was found about 200 feet south of his cousin’s body. - Eleven Media/ANN
