TOP South Korean singer and actress Hyomin has posted several photos of her wedding shoot on social media, as she gears up for her upcoming nuptials in April.
“I’ve met someone who is the most wonderful person in my eyes,” the 35-year-old wrote in English on Instagram on March 13. “Preparing for this new chapter has reminded me how grateful I am for those who have been there and supported me.”
Hyomin wrote in Korean, as part of the same post: “I’m getting married soon as I’ve met a man who’s not exactly handsome, but is wonderful in my eyes.”
The member of K-pop girl group T-ara added that her fiance asked her to include this sentence.
She added in Korean: “To those of you who have been following my personal news and congratulating me, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and to my fans, I promise you that my gratitude will never change.”
News of Hyomin’s wedding was first reported by Sports Kyunghyang on Feb 11. It said she was getting married to a non-celebrity who is tall and handsome and works in the finance industry.
The South Korean media outlet said her wedding would be held in Seoul on April 6, and that it would be an intimate affair attended by only close friends and family.
Hyomin’s fiance was present in three of the 10 photos she posted of the wedding shoot, but he was not facing the camera.
Addressing her fans, the singer wrote: “And dear beloved fans, my appreciation for you will never change. I’ll continue to live with sincerity and dedication as Park Sun-young.”
Hyomin, whose real name is Park Sun-young, debuted with T-ara in 2009 and made her solo debut in 2014 with the EP, Make Up. She has also excelled as a song writer in her 16-year career.
As an actress, her first major acting project was 'My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox 'as Ban Sun-Nyeon and the drama saw huge success during its run and helped develop Hyomin's acting career.
She is also currently the host for television show Trend Shopper 2.
Previously, the singer began dating South Korean football player Hwang Ui-jo, now 32, in November 2021, but she said in a statement in March 2022 that they had broken up.
