Indonesia removes 1.3 million harmful sites, targeting pornography and gambling

JAKARTA: (Bernama) Over 1.3 million pieces of harmful content, including pornography and online gambling, have been removed from the internet in Indonesia between October 2024 and March 2025, thanks to the active involvement of the public, according to the Ministry of Communications and Digital.

Of the total content removed, 233,552 pieces were related to pornography, with websites contributing 219,578 cases, Platform X (formerly Twitter) accounting for 10,173 cases, and the remaining 3,801 cases linked to other platforms.
