International Women's Day celebrated in big way Laos


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): A major event to mark the upcoming International Women's Day on Saturday March 8 was held in Lao capital Vientiane, featuring exhibitions, sales of domestic products, and services such as marriage and birth registration and banking.

The event, held on Thursday under the theme "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment," aimed to foster solidarity, reflected on the historical legacy of International Women's Day, and highlighted the achievements, traditions, and progress of both the global women's movement and Lao women over the years.
