One killed, four injured in car dealership explosion in northern Laos


VIENTIANE: One person was killed and four others injured on Friday (Feb 14) in a fire and explosion that occurred at a car dealership in northern Laos' Oudomxay province, local media reported.

The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. local time in Nami village of Xay district in Oudomxay, some 310 km north of the Lao capital Vientiane, according to Lao National Radio.

The report said that one person was killed, and four others were seriously injured. The injured individuals have been promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire and explosion is still under investigation. - Xinhua
