Thai govt ready to deal with scammers who move operations to Cambodia

BANGKOK: The government has implemented proactive measures to deal with call-centre gangs that plan to operate from Cambodia, Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai (pic) said on Friday (Feb 7).

Phumtham said he would be travelling to Sangkhlaburi district of Kanchanaburi province, bordering Myanmar’s Payathonzu town, next week to meet and boost the morale of security officers who worked hard in tackling call-centre scams, drug smuggling and illegal entry.
