BEIJING: The average surface temperature of China's coastal waters has reached a record high, reflecting the global trend of rising ocean temperatures, according to the National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center and a report on global ocean temperature change.
The average sea surface temperature in China's coastal waters reached 21.5 C in 2024, marking an increase for the second consecutive year.
