Actress Vicky Zhao confirms divorce from Huang Youlong

CHINA actress Vicky Zhao has publicly confirmed her divorce from her husband Huang Youlong in a Weibo post, according to reports in Chinese media.

The post confirmed speculation over the years that the couple, once active in the acting and business circuit, had been divorced for some time.

Zhao, famous for her role in the popular drama series My Fair Princess and the film Shaolin Soccer, confirmed the divorce amid more financial troubles for her ex-husband.

She wrote on Weibo on Saturday (Dec 28): “I officially divorced Mr Huang many years ago, and our marriage has long been legally dissolved.”

She also urged people not to link her to any events, statements, or news related to Huang, according to China Press.

The 48-year-old, who was hailed in the early 2000s as one of the Four Dan (most bankable) actresses in Chinese cinema alongside Zhang Ziyi, Zhou Xun, and Xu Jinglei, has a 14-year-old daughter with Huang.

The businessman is said to have been recently involved in several debt disputes.
