MAPIM, IMAR to work with NGOs to develop Malaysia-Thailand border economy


PATTANI (Bernama): The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation (MAPIM) is collaborating with the Secretariat on Regional MADANI Initiatives (IMAR) to unite non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from Malaysia and Thailand to develop the economy and foster peace in the border areas of the two countries.

MAPIM president Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid said the Malaysia-Thailand border area has great potential in the tourism and agriculture sectors.
