Cambodia vows zero tolerance for scam centres, urges global cooperation

PHNOM PENH: As illegal online scams and gambling operations continue to be dismantled, the Ministry of Interior has reiterated that the kingdom does not permit online scam centres to operate. It also called for increased international cooperation to tackle these global crimes.

The most recent crackdown took place on Nov 6, targeting a building in Stung Meanchey III, Phnom Penh, where nearly 200 Chinese and Pakistani nationals were found conducting illegal online gambling activities.
