Asian Development Bank approves US$1.8mil grant to support urban renewal project in Laos

VIENTIANE (Xinhua): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided a grant of more than US$1.8 million to support an urban renewal project in Vangvieng, a tourism town in Laos' Vientiane province, aiming to develop the city as a green and clean visitor destination.

Under the project, 11 roads covering a distance of 5.3km will be upgraded. The construction is expected to begin in November 2024 and expected to be completed within 15 months, according to Lao Economic Daily report on Monday.
