SINGAPORE: A 41-year-old man is slated to be charged with murder on Sunday (Sept 8), following the death of a 48-year-old woman at Maxwell Food Centre near Chinatown.

The police said in a statement on Sept 7 that the man was arrested at 1.36am on the same day at the Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre after he informed officers there that he had stabbed a woman.

The police added that their officers were then sent to a food centre along Kadayanallur Street, and found the woman lying there motionless.
