Four injured in chopper crash in southwest India

NEW DELHI: (Bernama-Xinhua) Four people were injured when a private helicopter crashed in India's south-western state of Maharashtra on Saturday (Aug 24), confirmed a local government official, according to Xinhua.

The chopper crashed near Paud village in the state's Pune district.

No loss of life or property was reported from the ground.

The injured included the captain of the ill-fated chopper, which belonged to a private aviation company.

The chopper was flying from Mumbai, the country's financial capital, to Hyderabad, the capital city of the southern state of Telangana, when it met with the mishap.

All four were admitted to a local hospital where their condition was reported to be stable. - Bernama-Xinhua
