PARIS (dpa): World record holder Li Yuehong of China shot for gold in the 25 metre rapid fire pistol men's final at the Paris Olympics on Monday.

China have won five of 14 shooting events so far in Paris with just the team skeet remaining later on Monday.

The 34-year-old world champion racked up 32 points with a perfect five shots on his last visit to the range to edge out South Korea's Cho Yeong Jae on 25.

Li was third in Tokyo three years ago when Jean Quiquampoix took gold, but the Frenchman failed to make the final this time in his home Games.
