NEW DELHI: In yet another shocking revelation in the Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal murder case, investigators have claimed that accused Siya Goyal and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary conducted practice on how to push Ketan off the cliff.
On Thursday (July 2) morning, the police took Siya to Pune’s Lulla Nagar area where she allegedly rehearsed how to push her fiancé Ketan off a cliff.
On June 18, Ketan, 26, and his fiancée Siya, 20, had gone to Lohagad Fort. Siya’s boyfriend Chetan was already there and followed them clandestinely.
Once Ketan reached the spot chosen by the accused, Siya sat on the ground to give a signal to Chetan, who then pushed the victim into the 350-foot-deep gorge, killing him instantly at the spot.
According to the investigators, the murder was meticulously planned by Siya and Chetan and the duo had even explored ways to avoid police suspicion.
After killing Ketan, Siya called the police and told them that her fiancé had accidentally slipped and fell into the gorge.
However, a thorough examination of the evidence, including Siya’s phone records, unearthed the chilling murder conspiracy.
During the interrogation, Siya reportedly told police that she didn’t want to marry Ketan because he wore a wig and had a stammer.
However, Ketan’s family said that this was not hidden from Siya as her family was told this when they began talks for their marriage.
Meanwhile, an old video of Siya Goyal from a pub has also resurfaced on social media.
In the purported video, believed to have been shot at a pub in December last year, Siya is seen holding what appears to be a bottle of beer while speaking on the phone.
In the clip, Siya is allegedly heard using abusive language and saying, “First he cheats on me, then he calls me.”
After Ketan’s murder, his family had also alleged that Siya used to drink and this was concealed from them by her parents.
However, Siya’s mother reportedly denied having any knowledge about Siya being a drinker. - The Statesman/ANN
