Durian packages unveiled by Tourism Malaysia at Malaysia Fest event in Singapore


SINGAPORE (Bernama): Tourism Malaysia has launched the Durian Delight Packages at the ongoing Malaysia Fest 2024 at Singapore Expo, Changi, to woo the King of Fruits lovers from the island republic with exclusive packages.

Tourism Malaysia said the agency together with travel partners, and local durian farmers joint their expertise to create a premium product showcasing the best Malaysian durian varieties for Singaporean tourists.

"From discounted hotel vouchers to durian travel packages, Tourism Malaysia’s pavilion at the Malaysia Fest will showcase a wide array of tourism products and services from Malaysia,” Tourism Malaysia Singapore deputy director, Mohana Murni Shanmugam, said in a statement.

The Duria Delight Packages was launched by High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore Datuk Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar on Thursday.

Among the holiday options available include attractive deals from The Yanné Onsen Hotel, SKS Group-owned Hotels, Hospitality 360, and Legoland Malaysia.

Visitors who purchase from Tourism Malaysia’s pavilion during the Malaysia Fest will stand a chance to redeem an exclusive tote bag designed by renowned Singapore-based Malaysian travel blogger and artist, Ng Sock Peng.

In addition, the pavilion also showcases live labu sayong potter-making and Peranakan shoe-beading demonstrations.

The Malaysia Fest 2024, themed "Explore the Gems of Malaysia", is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security through the Federal Agricultural Marketing Board (FAMA) in collaboration with MegaXpress International Pte Ltd at Hall 5A and 5B, Singapore Expo, from July 25 to 28.

The expo feature 300 booths showcasing diverse Malaysian products, including agriculture, agro-food, tourism, health, fashion, and beauty items. - Bernama
