PHNOM PENH: More than 20,000 of over 210,000 hectares of rice in Prey Veng province have been affected by rice whiteflies (Aleurocybotus indicus) since the end of June.

Sam Sarun, deputy director of the Prey Veng provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, said the outbreak began on June 30.
