A tragic day as family of four killed in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara landslide


JAKARTA (Bernama): All four members of a family were killed in a landslide in Ende district, East Nusa Tenggara, following continuous heavy rain on Friday morning.

The landslide struck Rewarangga village at 6 am local time, nearly demolishing one house and causing minor damage to two others.

"The local disaster management agency is still monitoring the landslide-affected area,” said National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) spokesperson Abdul Muhari in a statement.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency has issued a warning, indicating that heavy rain is expected to continue throughout the day in Ende. - Bernama
