Lao president pays state visit to Cambodia


VIENTIANE: Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith (pic) is leading a high-level delegation on a state visit to Cambodia from April 23 to 24.

The visit, at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, is aimed at strengthening the long-standing friendship, traditional solidarity, and comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership between Laos and Cambodia, Lao National Radio reported on Tuesday (April 23).

The Lao president is expected to exchange views with Cambodian leaders on enhancing bilateral cooperation, and on regional and international issues of common interest.

The state visit is expected to be a significant milestone to strengthen the good neighbourliness, fraternal ties and solidarity, and the comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership for the common prosperity of the two nations. - Xinhua
