Registered live births in Philippines decrease by 17.4 per cent in past decade


MANILA (Xinhua): The registered live births in the Philippines have decreased by 17.4 percent in the past 10 years, from over 1.76 million in 2013 to 1.45 million in 2022, the Philippine Statistics Authority has announced.

The statistics agency said the 1,455,393 live births registered in 2022 is equivalent to a crude birth rate of 13, or 13 births per thousand population.
