Cambodia marks 25th anniversary of war’s end

THE country is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the end of civil war, brought about by the win-win policy of former Prime Minister Hun Sen in 1998 with the reintegration of the remaining Khmer Rouge soldiers.

Dec 29 is set as the official date, with this year’s celebrations set to last from Dec 29 to 31.
